In the last 28 days the International Students page had a bounce rate of 51.3%. This needs to be researched and determine what is causing the high bounce rate.
My recommendations are as followed.
Add a clearer next step
International students often feel uncertainty.
Add a clear call to action, such as:
“See Tuition & Visa Requirements”
“Next Steps for International Students”
Place CTAs above the fold and after key sections. This improves meaningful engagement, not just bounce rate.
Improve scanability & clarity
Common bounce drivers on these pages:
- Dense text blocks
- Legal/visa language up front
- Unclear eligibility requirements
Recommendations:
Add a “Quick Start” section:
- Who can apply
- Required documents
- Deadlines
Instead of using dense text blocks, try adding bullet points and accordions.
Fun fact: Webpage visitors decide in 5–8 seconds if the page is “for them.”
